a bit shameless cross thread posting ( original thread : http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=138860 ) :D this is my first public game art tutorial its about creating tiling cliff/rock using zbrush, xnormal, and photoshop you can click on the link below…
Thanks! There really isn't much to share. I just painted some base colors using polypaint and baked them down using xNormal, and then smudged around the edges in Photoshop so it looked like bits of fur overlapping. After that, I overlayed a few photo textures of fur to get some color variation in the albedo. There's some…
A little progress on my Substance/PBR journey. All the texturing is basic procedural stuff from substance designer using the default material filters. The great thing is you can modify the filter masks on a layer in photoshop ( put wear were you want it ect) import the layer in Designer , blend it with the mask and all…

This is bringing me closer to my ultimate goal of one day developing a game about planetary exploration. Right now my next step would be delving into animation. If any animators are…
I use Zbrush for all texture sculpts, zspheres to make the branches for the texture, then make the leaf in Zbrush, Photoshop for any finishing/color adjustment. I may do breakdowns in the future, but I am pretty invested in making more art as I try to seek out my next job opportunity right now. Thanks, nice work yourself…
Very nice, daphz! What's it for? An actual project or just for funzies? I recently created a skin for the Mynx model from Quake 3. Please note that I didn't make the model, it ships with the game. I also created a breakdown of the process for the hair. I already posted it in the hand-painted thread, but since that thread…
