Great work, I pretty much like your skinning style. I'd hope to see it with body I imagine it with a wiseman tunic with some short of accessorys around like feathers and or small skulls... However I have a (stupid?) question, you're using a digital pen for skinning aren't you?
Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I got distracted with a few side projects. I still have to go through and do some cleanup and add some small things (red cloak, skulls teeth). But it's getting pretty close. Let me know what you guys think.
This idea definitely needs more realistic reference for the parts he wants to achieve like pictures of skulls, human figure, facial muscles, hell even look at how movies portray zombies you can get some ideas from that too just show how disfigurement would appear.
Here is a quick update on my progress, finished up the skull and the 2 spiky things on the smaller blade. Just projected the image flat down on the axe to get a good idea of the weapon, hoping to hop into Zbrush tomorrow so I can iron out the details. image upload without registration
I had a go at a basemesh for the dagger. Figuring out how to do the skull in -200- tris was a bit of a nightmare, but I think it looks ok? Edit: actually, I think I might turn this into a Shadow Shammy blink dagger, seeing as it looks way different to the concept anyway? If that's ok with you :)
I've only ever used a PC, and I feel like a complete idiot when I attempt to operate a Mac. Therefore, I will stick with Pc. It's not got a user friendly interface, leastwise not for me, i just can't get it's complex simplicities through my dense windows bleached skull
See, that helped because now it's on his face (it's a mask) instead of coming out of the back of his skull - but it's still not lining up right. It's position is off still! Do I need to make sure that the engi bust is positioned at 0,0,0? I mean, even then it doesn't work but it's the closest... This is straight frustrate.
Oh man i welcome any Darksiders Fan art. Love that game and art. I would of had the blade separate personally but you're doing well. Only crit from me its that the screaming skull should be wider than you have it now. Take a little peek at this image.
that untextured bit is awesome as for the hair Ged, i say put some bands against the skull where they braid off and then roll with it... for rigging, they'll work find where they are now... maybe put some twist in there first, refine some buldge areas, keep it stylized, and then let the texturing aid the rest.
marlfox8 - Thanks! Here is something I have worked on today. really need to get back to finishing that skull, this one was just somuch fun that I couldn't stop hahaha. Let me know what you think of it. Trying to work in a new style, harder than I thought it would be.
