i would stick to the lighting in the concept. much more yellow and more concentrated around the flames. i also would add some dirt and debris on the ground to give the scene a natural feel.
It is definitely an alley way, my only suggestion would be to get some more light at the barrel on fire. In real life, flames that high would have a much higher reflection against that wall.
The poisonous headcrabs have that effect on me, but bug winged demon babies, and screaming flaming heads + all the other crap was just scarier for me. HL2 is fun and feels "sciency" not as scary for me.
It's not just rad, it's TOTALLY BADICAL!!! While watching this, the Flaming Lips' song, "It Overtakes Me / The Stars Are So Big, I Am So Small... Do I Stand A Chance?" comes to mind.
Bioshock - Hunting the Big Daddy Irrational Released a new gameplay trailer today, looks boss. I thought the flaming teddy bear was a nice touch. Animation is looking particularly nice as well.
I dunno.... Silliness aside I'd prefer if you there wasn't a flame war in my thread. If there is something specific about something i've modeled that anyone wants to know i'd be happy to help.
Hey Mark, this is awesome stuff!! It shows you have a great sense of hard surface design, and your finished renders have a nice level of polish. My only critique (and I had to really try to find something..) would be for the panoramic shot with the long alien worm creature. For me too many elements are pointing left and…
OMG! me too im a big big fan of MK series, the new one really rock! Yours hyper low poly chars looks amazing keep going with MK2 chars! I can't wait to see Shao Khan and Motaro! 2 questions : 1. How you make the rotation gifs? Looks like the frames aren't from a render. Do you capture frame per frame by hand? 2. The…
The feature that made me "Hell Yeah!" was: QuickTime Support for 64bit Quicktime is a must for animation review meetings, since it can frame by frame and loop better than other formats. Since we've started using 64-bit we've had to render uncompressed AVIs, load in quicktime pro, and re-export. I'll take full advantage of…
Thanks whoever drew that critique on SyncSketch! I updated my animation (and the link above), but here it is again: https://syncsketch.com/sketch/134056#199140. By the way, sorry about the quality last time around. There was actually a compression issue that I somehow missed, so you did not see about 25% of my frames (thus…
