This bunny was modeled for a friend's birthday. I tried out some new techniques for the hair material to give it the look and feeling of strands while keeping the blocky cartoon nature of the curves and I think it came out okay. I also tried out a couple new methods for the eyes with vectors and gradients, also to good…
Concept is so rad! I'd go angular with the stones as well, just because the softness is bringing this to cartoon town. Most of the shapes in the piece are sharp and exact. Also, the lighting is delicious in the piece. A great mix of natural light and sourced lighting. I'll be watching this for sure - best of luck to you!…
High def trailer http://www.singbluesilver.com/media/Transformers-teaser_480p.zip And I like the trailer very much. The old cartoon design and story can suck it. I just want to see big robots fighting. and for the comments on the US Godzilla movie sucking, so did almost all the japanese ones.
They use illustrator a lot in the creation of samurai jack or Dexters lab. To give that countour and shapes. I know because i worked for the Jim Henson company, creating textures and models for a cartoon of theirs that they wanted in 3d, and that's all they used to create their shapes and linewwork. It's always nice to…
I dont watch much TV. When I do its: Movies Sci-Fi Channel or shows (I miss star trek too, big fan) Cartoons (Futurama, Simpsons, Family Guy) Occasional comedy (Ali-G show, Chappelles show) Discovery Channels (sciency stuff)
Hopefully they've retained the rest of the Hitman gameplay - otherwise, this looks like they're trying to turn it into Splinter Cell Conviction (not a good thing). The writing and voiceover for the cops struck me as somewhat ridiculously caricatured - "Commies! Liberals! They got all their ideas from books!" Wtf? Who talks…
Awesome work man! I had been thinking about creating this dude as well.. But never really had the time to start it. So much projects going on.. Wish i could freeze time. =P Anyway Maybe try using a cell shaded look, like the cartoon? might be interesting to see how it holds up.
Forgot to post this earlier! Here are my different colour designs. They are all based off of already available images. 1 and 2 strike me as more "realistic" (if not a bit boring), 2 is certainly nice but the challenge for me would to make it not look like a cartoon character! Would love to hear what you guys think!
Just a note to myself here. As much as i like cartoons and superheroes, there is a time in life where you need to grow up and let all this behind. I certainly do not condone reading a comic here and there, but it seems like there is way to much young adults and teens that refuse to let go of the role playing found in those.
that face doesnt really look connected to the skull beneath it, check your head shape by overlaying a skull in the side view and front view. He seems like someone in his early 20s in the cartoon, if you could use that actor as reference but seriously make him seem younger and more fun looking perhaps that would work.
