I dunno, I don't really have a problem with it. I guess I'm just really driven. I never have problems starting something new or following through with it eventually. I enjoy it just as much as playing games or doing other things, so it's easy for me. I suppose part of it is because I am not working as an artist right now.… -

Normal maps alter your surface normals based on a bitmap. When light calculates it compares your sampled normals direction with the incoming lights direction and shades accordingly.
