Hi guys, Long time didn't touch enviroment work, here I start a new scene from Avengers, is really cool design, again is wiht UDK, hope you like. Here is the WIP first prop ,is quite immportant, so I did spend little more time on it
the programmer im working with needs to figure out how to read Obj (and i geus .mat)files for importing to our porco scene. any one got any export/import scripts for them. if not any ideas for other file formats that will export texture coords, materials (enviro) and vertex colour info.
Hi guys, 1 week ago, I start my first environment on UE4 for trainning. It's a realistic "dwarven Throne Room" and I'm currently working on the blocking. I'll update this topic every weeks to sharing the enviroment evolution. Feel free to leave feedback and advices it would be very helpfull !
Currently I'm working on the enviro, I'm just trying to take a bit of the details arround because I want to start to sculpt the portal as I told before, I'm having some difficults building the settlement because I can't achive a nice compo
Thanks for the tuts and the actions Philip. Ive had your site bookmarked for awhile now. The rocky environments and other enviro's you did for Bionic Commando were spectacular! Take it easy and thanks again for sharing these tuts with the poly count community man.
Just a small thought, and if someone was even able to do this it would be nuts if they were both up to spec. But can someone enter both sides of the competition? I didn't see this in the rules, but could someone do both the enviroment and character side to the competiton?
i think it is already and enviro with concept parts mixed in like the chars, but either way i think if you just changed your angle a bit it would look even more like the other image, looks great so far though :)
Here is a update with the environment I have made to pimp the Drone. I managed to get the entire enviro into 1 2048x2048 sheet. The diffuse is just a colour blockout at the moment. I am also in the process of adding some decals in to break it up a bit.
Working on some enviro stuff for a project. Le Concept Sculpt progress A crystal! (and colour variant) ~600tris + 512 diff/norm/spec. Texture could be less noisy, an attempt at compensating for lack of fancy material, seeing about spheremapping if the engine allows.
- become a better artist - finish every piece/project I start - get enough enviro work in my folio that I can actually start applying to studios - ride my bmx more - dont let life get me down :)
