For starter, set dilation width to 16. There is not enough padding around the seams and very likely some filtering grabs the "empty" pixels. Also I recommend Marmoset 3 for baking. It gives you control over the skew direction of the surface.
Holy shit.. I was thinking of grabbing it when it was $16. Glad I waited. I complained about this sale too, but in the end, I've purchased more this holiday sale than the last.. so I guess I'm just a hypocrite :)
3Ds Max actually just added support for using a number of types of vector files as texture maps. http://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/16/ENU/3ds-Max-Help/files/GUID-F19394AA-63E3-4B16-8780-5D2485E2B9F7.htm
@lotet Thanks! I am trying to balance between being more loose but still calculated. It's really hard. It feels like I can do only one at a time. 2 for Day 16 since I missed yesterday.
I dunno. 18-20 sides is usually what I have on my scopes. You'll really be able to tell that it's low poly right away with only 16. I would definitely consider putting a few more sides on.
This is Maya, but probably translate-able to Max: Create a sphere with a # of subdivision axii(spelling?), the edges that radiate from one pole to another, divisible by 4 (ie. 8, 12, 16, 20, etc), then delete every other edge at the poles...
aye, at a per dvd price that's fine.. but imagine if you had to buy 16 gnomons or none at all :P I wish you could get it per chapter or something, as I'd probably collect them all over a period
HP HDX 16! I was going to get a dell XPS but the price, features, 9600GT 512 ram and comfy keyboard sold me :) I paid $1100 in February. Runs Crysis on max settings and is my primary workstation atm.
I had a myspace account about a year ago. It's a good way to meet chicks quite effortlessly, sad as that sounds. Unfortunately you'll be messaged by many many 16 year old girls... I quit and never looked back.
yeah so many games coming out soon. it's crazy. I have like 16 games for my 360 now and i've barely played any of them except for a few. I just don't have the time these days.
