Google "GoZ" It's not simultaneous, it's just an import/export bridge between zbrush and other programs. Eliminates a few steps of opening explorer windows.
In Maya, you could take a profile curve or mesh, and extrude that along a path curve for the positive shapes, then bridge or whatever for the negative ones.
