Welp my days were spent on baking, texturing and retopology. Still not too great at any of them. Day 15 Day 16 Baking Portrait and finished retopology Day 17 - Baking Day 18
premium is limited to 16 GB RAM. the motherboards, like the Z68 series and most of the new LGA 1155 series supports 32GB maximum memory if not more. windows7 pro would allow him to upgrade later.
It also looks like you somehow exceed the 16 texture samplers limit which can be easily worked around by using shared samplers - which should be the default option by now, ffs Epic Games.

You don't really have much choice - it's a kernel based filter whichever way you look at it and since it's parallelised already you have limited options in terms of making major speed improvements . The only way it really gets faster is to do less work. If you chain 8 of these with kernel size 16 in a row it will be a lot…
I tried both 8 bit and 16 bit but it didn't make any difference. And the asset is meant to be very close to the player that's why I'm worried those artifacts can be too noticеable. Anyways thank you your suggestion.
Just bought a new vidaya card, can now get mudbox sculpts up to 16 million. Good timing too, as I've finalized my concept in Sculptris for my "Style Stewardess." Retopo for the first time is up next.
I'm gonna hazard a guess and say that the 16 tiles around the base of the pillars is a separate mesh from the general square tiles mesh which has unique mapping to get the round shape in there. Correct me if I'm wrong OP :)
For starter, set dilation width to 16. There is not enough padding around the seams and very likely some filtering grabs the "empty" pixels. Also I recommend Marmoset 3 for baking. It gives you control over the skew direction of the surface.
