I don't believe there are junior positions at ubisoft, or atleast I've never seen them advertised. There is the ubisoft NXT showcase that claims to hire junior artists, though the hires have a variety of skill levels so not entirely sure. Could you post some of your work?
Here's another one! (got a few things to showcase) Fourth proper sculpt in Zbrush, our assignment was to do a model as anatomically correct as possible. I chose a pear-shaped filippino woman with scoliosis. I'm pleased with the outcome, because anatomy really isn't my fort
I think the number one thing you could improve in your portfolio is the lighting. Your lighting is very bland, which is killing your models. Take a look at the models in the Showcase section for some examples, also check the Model Presentation page on the wiki for workflow ideas.
Look, I think that doing these showcase projects like Book of the Dead is probably the best way to find out if there's something that could be improved in Unity. So only good things can come out of these projects. The short looks amazing and I was really impressed while watching it.
This page has a lot of information about the reflection capture actors. https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Resources/Showcases/Reflections/index.html#reflectionconsiderations Still a screenshot of the material editor would help because we could also see thumbnail images of the textures along with what they are…
That's some really cool way to showcase your art! Mind sharing a few textures and wires of those low polies? Also, that's one of the best usages of zbrush I've seen for wooden pieces, did you stamp masks to get this look or you actual sculpt it with brushes?
practice and observation. Observation is key - it's the same as drawing - you look at real life objects and see how they are built and use that in your work. Don't be ashamed to show your work - put it up in the showcase forum - then when you hit a problem people can help you.
Hello everyone, my name is Keith and I'm happy to showcase my new portfolio piece character. My goal is to eventually work in a AAA studio someday. Personally after this piece I think I'm leaning more to characters than environments. My Artstation link; https://www.artstation.com/keithq1995
Hey all, this is my 3D sketch book and showcase of my character art. I'm always open to critique so please, if you see something that needs fixing, please let me know. I am on a quest to become a great character artist and I'll take any help I can get. Thanks!
