Its still sooo DAM GREEN AND DARK! lol Good progress on the textures I can actually see. I do like that you changed up the layout a bit, that half-circle window will work alot better for some incoming night/day light
what settings do you have for face mode? to get all those circles, when making a selection also is that realtime AO in your viewport? how do? Thanks p.s can we get the track ids of the songs you used in ur video :) :):)
Nice block-in, I like the use of repeated circles and the one in the throne draws your eye especially if you keep the contrast in materials like wood and gold. Look forward to see this progress! Are you considering lighting it through the window to add a bit of drama? :p
These threads always spiral into circle jerks for people with fine art degrees. If you think you have great potential as an artist, go for the fine art degree. If you're more technically minded, go for the digital stuffs and you can be more of a technical artist/ modeler.
I forgot how tough it can be to find a good dialogue clip! I couldn't squeeze a performance out of the first one I found, but I think I like this one... http://www.dailywav.com/quotes/hope-bob/theyre-circling-over-house-now
it may not be uncommon but i remember that my jaw dropped when i noclipped through the floor in some game in late 90's and realized that reflection on it is actually a duplicated room turned upside down. also, magic carpet creatures made using flat circles:
Updated the package with circle dots: Download Converting to Unity wasn't that bad, it can have blocks of CG code inside the shader files so it's pretty straightforward. I just had to look up how to get the worldnormal and worldpos and added the parameters for the inspector etc.
And I get that. Even if I keep thinking that it would be much more productive to start as a team, even if it is two persons. As I alone on this for the moment, the progress will be slow, giving this project even less chances to see its rank grow... Are we going in circles here ?
Lookin pretty good. As Penguin said, some of your edges are way too tight, especially the main cross piece. Really exaggerate them so that they will bake better. The circular crank pieces are looking a tad soft right now, where the cross transitions into the circle.
Work with people better than yourself - join a team / company. I'd advise against teams of students/straight out of college, you want to move up not circle around the same ideas and proficiency :) Nothing like a job to make you up your game
