Hi! Today, I've been working on textures. I went for very simple bright saturated yellow and dark desaturated blue composition. I tried to maintain 20% yellow and 80% blue but it may not be accurate at all, it's more likely 70:30. Here's result: (Render in Marmoset) In-game test:
Hey Guys I am back again with a side exercise. Texturing a weapon for CS:GO in the 70's & 80's scifi style. And I choose the AWP. I gathered some Reference. Here it is. I still have to eliminate what aspects from the reference I will put on the AWP and what not.
The content has no requirements to touch someone emotionally, just like how music wouldn't need deep lyrics or lyrics at all to make one feel awesome. Which is the reason why an 80's movie, a cheesy metal song or even modern warfare can have impacts on peoples lives.
Thank you very much for that info. I just ran across the same issue and thought it was because I was using C4D instead of Maya. How come the official download models don't have the correct size? It's weird... :poly141: BTW - for anyone wondering: 80% scaling seems to be the original Size
Thanks Eric, That seemed to have done the trick. While I have you here I was wondering if there were any optimizing tips for running Photoshop and Quixel. Running them alone with 4k maps seems to use up nearly 80% of my ram (16 GB). I was just curious.
Good picture rite? But it took. 15 mins to render. With this scene alone having over 300 frames. I'm forced to reduce lights for time keeping. But I made this for all people who thought I didn't know how to render with lights. smh........ Trailer is 80% done Smh #thelaunchgate
Yep leverage modularity, be it interior or exterior level design. I'm far from cognizant with the discipline myself but in order too further understand (...somewhat) the art creation process I typically turn to 80lvl for a leg up most of the time: https://80.lv/articles/understanding-modular-environment-design/
I like zombies - it was so hard to find good zombie stuff in the 80's and 90's, don't take this away from me. Have I just not noticed that there's a flood of sports games on the market? Seems like every major sport gets 1 or 2 games devoted if it's lucky.
first off when I open this thread I thought your reference was your final render! and was like, cool stuff! I really like those 80s concepts, they have that bold / minimal feeling. hope you pull out something cool here, good work so far!!
nice texture work on the desk and other props so far, looks great. I would suggest at least roughing in the wall and floor texture so you can create objects with a similar color pallete so everything jives nicely, since walls and floor are usually 80% of the screen space.
