On the PCI-E side of things, I don't really see a huge benefit since I thought the bandwidth of SATA 3 had yet to be exceeded. -

since I'm on nezekan, the load is more distributed than most other servers, since the 1/3-1/2 half the population is oceanic and most of the rest on the west coast... queues last about 20 minutes at peak peak times on friday and saturday so far... nothing particularly bad any other day. Couldn't you select all verts along the seam, and use a horizontal scale to move them all closer together, then weld? Or select each vert individually, and then its corresponding vert, and weld using an insanely high tolerance (I like 25-50)? Repeat for the other verts. More pictures needed perhaps.
