Yes that's correct. Here are some video tutorials on it: Substance Painter: The official tutorial has been removed so it might be changing in the latest version, however here's Michael Pavlovich talking about it: 018 Baked Lighting Filter - YouTube 3D Coat: Baking Lighting & Reflections in Unlit Shader - YouTube
Interesting... I thought the 2008 version of Sorceress was quite decent; she mainly needed a lot of polish in the animation department IMHO. The eye shader you came up with is pretty cool. How come you are facing performance issues? Are you looking to have this run on a legacy PC, and if so, why?
Hourences' tutorial is great, but it's from 2008. It's a bad idea to use a complicated modifier stack like he has in some of his screenshots. Most of these modifiers are vertex-count dependent, so if you change the vertex count below them, they will be reset or will make bad data. Just something to watch out for.
Would like to see a new Skies of Arcadia one day, but doubt it'll ever happen. Prince of Persia 2008 too, very under rated game. Grandia 1 and 2 were great games, but they should have ended it there. Xtreme, 3, and Grandia online did nothing but lessen the brand.
meh, why the balck outlines?? they need to take notes from Valkyrie Chronicles.. make the outlines a darker value of the same color, not black.. black looks stupid.. this is how it should be done, see doesn't look like crap.. http://akayuki.com/2008/03/03/new-valkyrie-chronicles-screenshots/
yeah i read it years ago, it is quite different if i remeber correctly (had alot of swearing aswell, which was nice). speaking of films not following the books, i read a few of the 007 books as a kid, and one or two were nothing like the film with the same name, completely different stories.
Most of the threads I found that are any help were from around 2008. Has anything changed with the new updates to Max and Maya? Basically what I want to do is Game Art, and from what I've seen most people like 3DS Max, but most of the schools teach Maya.
I've been having this same issue with 2008, and they only occasionally pop into view when moving around the viewport in Perspective :( I usually just have to switch my selection options and drag select a bunch and hope I get the right ones...no clue how to fix the draw issue though :/

This script acts just like the edge Connect button on an editable poly object, but it will also raise of lower the new vert to keep the overall curvature of the object. So if you connected the edges down the length of a cylinder with the normal connect button, you end up with a new edge loop but the cylinder now has a flat…
