I've been trying to render out a turntable of a Dota ward I've been working on, but can't get the CAPTURE > TURNTABLE images to match either the viewport or the CAPTURE > IMAGE images - the lighting looks different between the two but I can't work out why. No combination of parenting lights or animations options seems to…
With the move to Texas and the birth of our son, my wife and I want to purchase some Web cams as Xmas gifts for our parents so that we can chat with them and they can see their new grandson from time to time. Does anyone have a reasonably priced web cam recommendation? We are also wanting to purchase microphones for…
My parents are letting me upgrade my computer for a graduation present. What do I need to get to best run Maya? I currently have an ATI Radeon 9600xt and 1 gig of Ram...I know both need upgrades...but to what? All suggestions will be appreciated. I also want to get Mudbox in the near future, what do I need for that? Thanks.

I think you can do that only by eyeballing it and checking its settings in Zbrush/Materials tab. It's not that complicated I believe it should be just basic Arnold Standard material with Diffuse - Pure white + Roughness adjusted close visually to the Zbrush. The rest is really basic stuff. The only thing probably that is…
Also true, bothers me that they don't follow the warranty. Can't buy a new card for a long time now, have a daughter, and my wife's parents both got fired during the pandemic (the state have still not decided if they are going to pay them or not, so they're living with us). Meaning that I'm paying for 4 grown-ups and one…
* oglu said: Triplanar mapping or box mapping in Maya has a gizmo that you can parent to an object if you want to move it around without the textures swimming. Obviously this could be complicated if you have lots of small objects and it might be simpler just to give them UV's. You still don't need to bake the textures…
Took notes on noses from sinix and brushwork from Tyler Edlin. I think it's good to have days where I take a break and just takes notes : ). Still learned a lot and gonna try to practice some of the highlighted things and things mentioned in both videos. Had to stay after school for teacher-parent conferences @_@, so…
Update: I was able to get the generic cube to bake out with no error after I created a new package. Same thing with the mesh data I intend to use. The only thing I did differently was creating a new graph with the bit depth parent dependant as opposed to 16bit but that doesn't make sense to me. Huh, weird. Closing this…
To delete a sub sequence I think you just have to go to the parent's Kismet and find the sequence node, then just delete it as you would any other node. To move it I would think you could just create a copy of it and make a new sub-sequence using the copied nodes, are you trying to move Kismet between levels or just within…
