If you woke up on Jan 11th 2009 and believe the tar and feather revisionist history Fox news has been slinging for the past 2 years. You're totally right its all Obama's fault... You guys are blind and crazy... I'm going to go make art.
@Sidney Eliot Generally speaking, these shadow issues are fundamental to all renderers, not specific to Toolbag. There are some tricks that can be done in raster rendering engines to soften shadow faceting somewhat, but as you note in the last part of your post it's a problem there too. The software can only render shadows…
Friday November 30th 7pm 1356 St-Catherine W. Les 3 Brasseurs Crescent. Reservation under the name "Polycount". Make sure to be there and grab a friend! :D The one downtown was all booked, sorry folks. This is a great location too, though: it's between Peel and Guy Concordia.
I've played it on the subway in the morning this past week.. The difficulty is at a perfect level, you never really get stuck-STUCK. Well worth the dollar :) With that being said, the 12th level in world 4 is broken, it must be. I can't get past it :D Great job! Looking forward to your next release! :)
Yeah, it's a very powerful tool. I'm working on a Roman inspired environment with a couple of marble tiles. Substance designer seems like a perfect fit. I might try a similar route and practice creating 1 material per day to improve my skills. Good luck in reaching your 100th material :)
Well the reason I didn't answer is because it looks like you are posting BS questions for some sort of school credit. Your questions are EXACT copies of questions posted on the Area Blog from November 30th. Also they are all answered in the comments there. http://area.autodesk.com/blogs/stevenr/bonustools
Thanks to those that voterated! Currently : RIVER - 13th Place Highway of the fallen kings - 6th Place! woop. Shape of a Sound - 6th Place woop woop! The band's singer sounds a lot like Tom Yorke, so was like getting a chance to remix radiohead again, had a lot of fun with these! :)
You realize that 50% of an 8K is just 4x8k right? a 2k map is 1/16th the resolution of a 8k. So technically, no, you couldn't. Now if he's just got a blurry mess with no real detail on a texture that large, then yes, but basics math tells you 2x2k doesn't = half of 8x8k.
I would like to add that Maury is obviously not trying to help these people and is only interested in the shock value of exposing his guests to the things they fear the most. It's much like the 19th century freak shows that have been a popular form of entertainment for a long time, before they where considered offensive.
Small update. I wanted to celebrate the moon landing 50th anniversary by creating this moon rover. You can find more shots here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/xzrqd4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leZrkyfi8dg Its using a material with a set of different layers. This way its easy to create different themes.
