LOL your the best earthquake I def have a lot of folders on my desktop (temporarily) and toolbag names them turntable000, 001 etc for some reason 000 was something else and the 3 renders I needed where 001 002 and 003 oops. I found them now. Sorry about that thanks for convincing me I still was doing something wrong. -

You forgot to pimp up your shadows, in real environment if it is a sunny day outside the shadows are dark grey blue colored not 100 % black. You probably have played MW2 if u watch closely their shadows they arent 100% black they are dark grey blue. Just to keep that in mind.… -

Thanks, although you might not say the same thing if you look at it close up haha. At anything over 100% there's a lot of messiness, and even at 100% there is quite a bit. It does make it a little easier that for certain things(the filigrees on the sides for instance) I draw on paper and scan in before drawing over the top… -

Yeah if you are making apps for ipad3 maybe you can actually fit the designs on your macbook monitor at 100% pixel zoom in photoshop whereas right now you can only ever see a portion at 100% cause your screen rez is way too low for those massive files. I really dislike the ipad3 retina display. -

I'm not sure how literal they were with the 100-word limit for the backstory, but just in case... I'd consider reducing your backstory to a shorter summary--at least, I'd keep a shorter summary handy. I'd hate to see such a nice piece lose out in judging, simply because the story was 100 words too many. Esp. if the contest… -

Where did your model come from (the obj)? If it's from max/maya and possibly zbrush, check your scale. You typically need to scale down your object by a factor of 100 in Houdini as it operates in meters by default. I think you might be running out of memory because you are trying to cover 100 square meters of face in… -

You pay about 33% more for about 33% more speed, in terms of high end CPUs a linear price jump means an excellent value. Just look at the $600/$1000 intel cpus and the performance jump you get there, the $100 is certainly worth it for the I7, unless you simply do not have an extra $100, than an I5 is fine i'm sure. -
