Thank you for the suggestions! It's really strange but I remade the rig using 2013 (my other license) and it worked fine and i brought it into 2016 and it also worked fine. I must have messed something up in the process and not noticed.
Yep, I understand that, Eric. But what I'm looking at is the date of the most recent posts, and I think the latest was something like 2013 and 2010 previous to that. It's not a criticism of Polycount - more an observation of the current trends (or lack of) online recruitment of artists.
Very useful script for Max. The only small niggle I have is that I have to manually export an object to FBX once per session in order for the script to subsequently export with the correct options. Might have to do with '2013, though.
Some of the art I see get posted to WAYWO makes me wonder how sober some users are. Penis Tank comes to mind, though I think that was 2013 or 2014. haven't seen much crazy stuff this year.
http://p3d.in/b/2013/05/10/jupiter/ p3d.in gives the most accurate results from what I've seen. I'm not too concerned with browser support since most modern browsers automatically update themselves these days.
Its a pretty strong portfolio. I'd change the 2012-2013 title and image to something else. It's a picture of a grass field and tree but inside there are these awesome props from Seige of Inaolia. Make it something more related to whats actually in the section.
References have been around for ages and are commonly used. Scene Assembly is new and only appeared in the extension release of Maya 2013. I would definitely advise people to look into this feature. It's perhaps seen as the next logical step for referencing.
The model viewer is free, guys. Stop jumping down Shock's throat because he did a little extra work you all seem unwilling to do. http://www.cyborgmatt.com/2013/11/dota-2-model-viewer-guide/
Neox, if only there was a way to rotate around the head to check on the size of the eyes. I dunno, something like... http://www.polycount.com/2013/05/19/sketchfab-integration/ ?? :) Gav, this is shaping up nicely. I'm in agreement with those cauliflower ears!
