Hi everyone, just register to Polycount and wanted to show you my latest work, a tribute to one of my favorite artist Jean "Moebius" Giraud. The sculpting and texturing have been done in Zbrush and rendered in Keyshot. I will also open a digital sketchbook to showcase my past work. Hope you like it :)
Hey everyone. I am trying to find out more about modular designs for buildings, like houses and shops. I was wondering if anyone had any good tutorials or showcases showing how the individual parts would be made and assembled to create unique structures? Any help would be appreciated :D
minorthreat: Thanks! Check my site for a complete showcase of assets (below). pixelpatron: Yeah I saw that lighting, I think it was due to a low light map resolution or something. I think I got it fixed up a bit better now. I wish I had more time to implement your suggestion of the cross-section of concrete but I'm out of…
The rock texture on your pedestal/platform a little too small I think. It looks like a mud sculpture at the moment. For the lighting. Decide what story the scene is telling and light it a little more dramatically in that respect. It will push it out of realistic, but will showcase a storytelling talent.
Hi there and welcome to Polycount. If you'd like to ask for career advice, then Career & Education is the place. But I've moved your topic to 3D Art Showcase & Critiques, where crits normally go. Hope that's ok, and this should bring you more crit eyeballs too!

Congrats Rockley. Always great to see success stories. I suggest making a thread in 3D Showcase to ask for portfolio critique, and specifically point people to which webpage you want them to evaluate, since you have a lot of links there in your sig.
i was told about this back in February and that it was to be showcased this march 16th 2011... bunch of liars they were, must've been a typo or misprint. but thats waaaaaay too long away from now so i'm just gona bide my time by 3Ding :E
I don't mean to high jack the thread but I agree with what McGreed says. As for DropOfTime, if you go looking in the Polycount Showcase threads you'll see they've put up their final tri counts so you can use those as benchmarks.
