Your right, I just need the practice in many areas (UV mapping detail, model quality) in every area really. @Toomas: That depends, of course an axe or a hammer is better to crack heavy plate armor, which is why in the late middle ages they were used so often. But if you fight a medium armored opponent, I wouldn't want to stand there with a slow axe. Also a sword was lethal when thrusting an opponents chain mail. Spears were… -

I will second the opinion that you should never ever ever get a degree in game design. If you're dead set on being a game designer and not a programmer or artist, then the most valuable things you will do is learn how to use level design programs like the Unreal Editor, Hammer, Source, etc., and create your own levels both… -
Need help with Edge flow and other tid bits.
I always seems to run into problems within the shoulder and and hip areas. I just go to a stand still on how to make the flow work correctly (or even just connect it cleanly to the body). WIP LeMat Revolver
Recently fell in love with this revolver. A Civil War-era pistol with an extra barrel that fired grapeshot. In other words: Revolver with an attached shotgun! Handle still needs work. Depends on the asset, it's importance and the artist's comfortability with the content. If you make one type of model all the time, you'll get in a groove. I used to make spaceships, by the 300th part I was going pretty damn quick.. but if I were to switch gears to women's hair? Brick wall while I figure things out. So… -
