Looks good. The longer I look at it, its lowpolyness starts to stand out, but on first glance it's pretty solid and convincing. The smaller bricks on the chimney look a little oddly small. Your window shutters look fairly flat. The tile roof and wall brick textures sort of blend into each other and don't seem distinct…
Pretty sweet man.I think the graffiti in the last pic is a bit too saturated. Looks damn good on the brick, though. I like the window's but in the last pic, the top left window, it looks like the crack from the glass is going over the frame, maybe I can't see it very well but that is what it looks like. I think the…
A problem that I have with the texture is that you don't really see any cement or plaster type material binding the stones/bricks together. You really aren't going to see a wall like that without a lot of whitish plaster in-between the bricks. here are some examples that might help you Also with that last example, it shows…
Definatley your best work. Hehehehe. Been holed up in my freezer, at study of hundreds of pics of Polycount artists, textures, models and industrial textures. The black and yellow chevrons are a littel monochrome. Gonna try that Rick, I notice how weak they look in the game, should be stronger. Some of the lines/edges are…
You can take one wall modular mesh, assign two materials to it as srsface said, and get two slots in unreal. You can UV that mesh once and use a tiling textures within your separate materials. You don't have to UV map the same wall for 10 different materials if your textures are made correctly. You can just slap them on as…
@lotet true! Yeah I'll start modelling a house, and apply some of these textures. I try to not just reply to people (anymore), cause that kinda bumps my thread to the top with no reason. So I usually try to include something I'm curently working on. Not as an excuse, but just so that there is something there to look at.…
Thanks for the feedback. As for balance, Riki counter balances Ursa plus even if it were off balance, the base is thick enough to stay stable. I've made quite a few of these miniatures and balance will be ok for this one. I don't understand what you meant by multiple parts? But all the model is connected and is one so…
I'd say there is a great roadmap to a good piece but as far as being practical I'd agree with Frell. It might be an enormous task to texture all those rock bricks. What I'd suggest is model and texture a grouping of bricks (3-6) and then copy and paste them and modify as you wish. The shadows from the grass planes are…
#2 update! Hey guys, so I did some bricks in substance designer. The texture is still at a blocking stage, so expect changes. I will start blocking all the materials in the next days and go on tweaking them as I consider it necesary. I have at least 5 other tileable materials to create (without counting each variation for…
I think if you made things a little less perfect, it would go a long way. Make some bends and dents on the metal pieces of the jail cells. The floor also looks really smooth. The floor bricks/stone have that smooth worn look, but maybe increase the depth of the grooves between the bricks of the floor? Regarding the…
