After watching "Saw" I was in a kick to see more scary movies - and since I cannot stand Sarah Michelle Gellar - I watched Ju On. Dude, HOLY SHIT. Scary movie indeed - but I was more frightened with Saw than Ju On. However, Ju On is definitly in my 2nd place for scariest movies I've seen. If you go to Apple.com/Trailers…
Sure they are. Glocks aren't "ceramic" like a lot of movies would like to have you believe - the slide, barrel and many of the inner workings are made out of steel. The frame, however, is indeed not made of metal - instead being a polymer. ..and as many people said, the texture is too light. Glocks hover more towards black…
DS handles 2000 tris per frame just fine at 60fps. It does 4000 tris per frame at 30fps just fine as well. If you do 1 screen only with 3D you can wing the 4000 with no real issue. If you choose to do both screens 3D at same time you're looking at 2000 tris per screen both running at 30 fps. This works by rendering the…
I think its running into the wagon wheel effect or stroboscopic effect, depending on who you talk to. http://www.ehow.com/about_5108375_stroboscopic-effect.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stroboscope There is a certain speed that when certain frames line up things can come to a dead stop or more commonly reverse. Which…
yeah that I could believe, just a couple of small scenes with super high quality settings on the lighting and vfx, more lights than usual and the flame effects look composited.
It looks to me like it should resemble a robed figure so I'd say rocket boosters that (with their flames and attachments) form a "robe" or maybe something like the Pyros from OMF2097.
Looking good overall, I'd spend some time on making everything cohesive on a detail and visual level now. IE the wooden chair texture/material needs more work compared to the rest of the scene, and currently looks as if it's a colormap only with 1 roughness and 0 specular, making it look strange compared to the materials…
I'd like to give a little feedback relating to the body mechanics on the first shot as with a few tweaks I think you can get that to be a nice opening. First off, he accelerates extremely fast towards the block. But doesn't look like he generates enough momentum to physically do that. Between frames 103-120, he lights the…
This is what I get for not quite doing the homework :) I'm familiar with the Luger and how the barrel recoils with the action, I should have known that the upper slide assembly recoiled along its rail on the c96 as well. Noob stuff, thanks for point it out. But if you spend any time trying to put the revolver cylinder…
Thanks Eric, but it doesn't work. I've got my character being controlled by another character on which I'm importing the mocap data and I set both of them to use the lock X Y Z under In Place, but as soon as you import the mocap data, it overrides the position. I was hoping there'd be an easy way to simply re-position the…
