Got a chance to bake these guys :D There is still some wonky stuff goin on but its getting there. The colors are just vertex colors i baked out from Zbrush so I can use them as masks, so the textures are not final at all. Now on to the texturing :D

You have to buy the subscription to find out how they did it. :D :D Seriously all it looks like there doing is taking a pre-built model and roughing it up using standard poly tools or you could using something like blastcode for maya that will fracture your meshes.
