@coven Your presence and updates in this thread in Polycount alone gives me more hope for Max' future than any marketing from Autodesk. Thank you for your work and keep it up!
I think it is offensive how expensive Autodesk makes maya for how little information on the more important and basic necessities that they provide. It would be really nice if they approached their products like Pixologic does.
Awesome, thanks for keeping it real! @CorentinBaillot Somehow I'm not surprised this still happens to people. Srsly idk, autodesk....what are in the hell are they even doing? just smack a damn "reset this button" in that menu
Just bought the beta. Will we get an e-mail when the official release comes out? Thanks for making this great plugin, if Autodesk has a clue they'll buy you out and integrate it. :)
I'm pretty sure I downloaded them off this page http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/fire/certified/Pages/certified-applications.aspx?isv=Autodesk&app=All&card=FirePro%20V4800
+10, or at least until the damn this is full of scratches. Wouldnt mind seeing Microsoft get in to the game... they did acquire n-trig after all...and they have teamed up with Autodesk on the hololens product.
I've heard that too, I was at first surprised by the number of artist I hear use modo, I wonder if autodesk has in deal for switching 3ds max license with maya for businesses or anything.
One has to wonder, will it lead to self censorship of the site to not offend advertisers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-censorship Example Autodesk product put down threads may become a thing of the past.
I think this is all you need to get started. http://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/13/ENU/Autodesk%203ds%20Max%202011%20Help/index.html?url=./files/WSf742dab0410631336fbbddbe112a1cec601-7f6c.htm,topicNumber=d0e462164
A free giveaway would go against Autodesk's interests, so I don't see that happening. A cheaper upgrade-price for those who already own Polyboost would be more beneficial to them.
