Here is the model so far. A quick render in keyshot and a quick paintover in photoshop. It looks like a toy figurine. I'll start doing the low polygon model now. C & C welcomed.
something mayan or egyptian, probably a demon of some sort or a bondage figurine? found in the early 20th century, made of clay, about the size of a thumb? btw, something about grotesquely fat creatures makes me happy; can't wait to see how this turns out/
I It's been a while. Working fulltime in advertising. Mostly 3D stuff in corona. Found some time and wanted to jump on the Bowsette Hypetrain. Saving up for a SLA printer to print figurines. Poses are hard.
OMG I have the figurine of her! [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Revoltech-Fraulein-No-004-Action-Figure/dp/B0014TFI8U/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1311200737&sr=8-12[/ame]
Don't forget the nick-knacks - glass or porcelain figurines cluttering every flat surface, framed pictures filling every wall, and lace doilies under the lamp. The fringe on the lamp shade could be denser.
Really nice work. One Question: Do you use Spec Maps in WoD? I thought in the past Blizzard used only Diffuse but I saw some reflections ingame which looks like spec maps (e.g. at the golden hawk-figurines at the spires or arrak)
Find a reason to learn. Whether it be finding a job in the game industry, working on indie games, 3d printing anime figurines, whatever you aspire to do. "I really want to create Anime Models" is too vague of a goal and doesn't provide much motivation I imagine.
Hi peeps great stuff! as per usual. Here I go with my first ever upload being a tribal character for a custom board game in fallout universe that I'm working on. Looks like I'm going to complete a model for once. May become a figurine to use with the game.
gives word mindfuck a whole new meaning, huh? model looks really cool, but the texture still has that polypaint vibe. not sure what it is but i think i's not as organic as it could. material definition makes me think of handpainted figurines rather than actual living creature.
I think it looks cool, I like the creases. The cloth feels very thick though, as if it were actually a stone statue or figurine rather than an actual kimono. Maybe flatten out the lumpiness and have a few more sharp folds? Anyway, nice sculpting. :) Looks fun.
