Most definately, plus i find that its AO is fast as hell... even on a 1.2million poly model and baking to a lower res, took my amd 940quad about 3mins max i think... I also find its normal map produces really well, and fast again. I also love the ease of UV layout use within Blender vs say max etc.
my biggest worry is that I am going to put all this effort into building the entire high poly and then someone is going to look at it and tell me I did it completely wrong in every way and that it absolutely has to be a single piece for some reason, or the opposite, because all I know is that normals seem to go to hell in…
i used to play a lot. then i didn't have anybody around who could play with me and i was short on rent. so i sold my 4000 or so cards. no way in hell i'm gonna start collecting again...starting over is a huge moneysink. little boosterpack tournaments are fun though. I wouldn't mind doin another one of those some time...
thnom, it looks awesome for the same reasons people (like me) loved Snakes on a Plane. It's the whole "it's so goddamn ridiculous it's great!" thing. It's like a horribly cheesy B movie pushed to the extreme which makes it look fun as hell to watch. It's not something that everybody "gets" though. But that doesn't matter…
Loft isn't a bad idea, I would try to keep the same amount of points over the sections tho. Yeah would be pretty much the same result as an extrude, so as long as you match the sections... Focus on the global shape before jumping on individual strakes. You could conform them over you base mesh. A hell of a work if you want…
Is there any possibility of selling the computer/monitor, and buying a new one in LA? I'd second the HDD recommendation. That probably has the most important info. Hell, I'd even back up some of your project files onto something else too, in case the platters get damaged in transport. Usually UPS has packaging options for…
I hate it when models are in the T-Pose, I like the arms to be at a 45 degree angle away from the body. T-Pose normally stretches the shoulders all to hell when you bring the arms down to a relaxed position. 45 is also halfway between relaxed and T, so its half stretching either way you go, not full stretch just to get to…
FUCK STREET DATES. YO. edit to elaborate more: this kind of stuff happens, and it's annoying as hell, yeah. and if their primary reason is they didn't want to wait for it - you think they would at least buy it AFTER the game came out as a sort of IOU to the devs or whatnot, at least show their support, especially if they…
[ QUOTE ] and some people might have a lot of trouble deciphering what the hell it is they're saying most of the time. [/ QUOTE ] You can say that again. If I watch it twice, I can maybe pickup about 70% of what's being said . "An' remember, las' generation, you couldn' ev'n fockin' throw boots u' top ah roofs couldya…
Lol, yeah I quoted the wrong dude, in the wrong thread. Not having used the Modo tools for animation I have no opinion. I would really like Modo to do a monthly subscription type thing, though. Hell, update the Steam version to be more feature complete and sell it for a couple of hundred bucks. I don't need offline…
