This is brilliant, and very generous to share as the game is currently in development. Kudos to you and the rest of the team! I can honestly say this game even though no gameplay (to my knowledge) has been shown yet is pretty much the reason why I'm considering buying a PS4. Keep up the good work!
Do you know if console Devs need to provide their own servers or if they are provided? I think Steam provides servers? But no idea about Xbox One/PS4. Probably the same deal as their past practices with servers for xbox 360 aracade games, and PS3 games. But I have no idea of those either.
I have completed the lowpoly model: The current Lowpoly count is 11,442 I could possibly cut down some more polys but as current gen car games have poly counts of 60,000 polys per car for ps4, and xbox one and over 200,000 for PC, there wouldn't be much point.
Working on the Stock/butt right now. Slowly but surely. Question: What is a reasonable tri-count for a shotgun with current gen (X1 PS4)? I was shooting for around 8,000 or so, I know rifles are higher due to much more detailing. A last gen shotgun I made was 5,000 tris.
If you are looking for doing 'next-gen'(I.E. Xbox One, PS4, etc.) texturing you want to look into some of the available tools and into Physically Based Rendering. Look into Substance Designer and Substance Painter. The program's creator, Allegorithmic, has a youtube channel here is a very good source for learning the…
I am also interested in this.I am torn between getting a Kinect or playstation eye for mocap. Though some ppl are saying the Kinect 2 is way more powerful than the ps4 cameras but with the Kinect cameras built into the xbox one that means u need to purchase 2 xbox ones in order to use it and from what I have watched on…
The biggest problem with going onto the new generation compared to the last one is there is honestly no HUGE visual difference between what we have this generation and next. Going from PS2 you gained pixle shaders and had the ability have things like specular/normal maps. It DRAMATICALLY changed the way games looked. What…
also powerwise computers are still way ahead even if not as efficient, my computer has arelady been around for a while but as 8x the ram of a ps4, than a additional 2gb vram, than in the console the cpu and graphics rendering are one chip, compared to pc where both on there own are atleast 4x more powerfull.
