very very cool Slum :) but what exactly are we looking at? Looks like a gras/fur surface shader where the direction is the derivative of an accumulation buffer @Richard Kain, that's pretty awesome too, illusion is there :)
what happens, if a small island belongs to a bigger island but is not within the bigger one? (like floating details). is it possible to hand link them? anyway: awesome tool, seems really well done and thought out.
Awesome thread, il post up some of my Maya scripts ive done for animation on game assets at some point. Keep up the good work guys, some really impressive stuff going on!
Hey there, I finished playing INSIDE from Playdead (it's just a masterpiece) and I looked at all the whitepapers, there are so much awesome stuff. I am currently working on integrating all the lighting tech into Unity.
That's awesome, TekK. I made a really simple Unity shader that blends textures based on vertex colors, but I've been painting them in 3dsmax. What technique are you using to get the hard edges between the textures?
@mLichy: That looks awesome! I sincerely hope you plan on sharing a final version that works with Max 9 and above.. :) Cheers~ P.S. Or if you need / want some Max 9 testing let me know.
Awesome stuff Chai! Have you tested the results in an engine yet? You know, to see if it generates the mesh in the proper order for correct sorting. Talon: That's rad! Mind if I ask what technique you used for this?
Awesome. My apologies for not following up and thanking you for this tool. I'm deep in a milestone deadline, hope to test the script next week. Thank you and kudos for going the plugin route, should be a heck of a lot faster.
Wow.. so many awesome things here! Can't believe I've missed this thread until now. @solarnoise That is something that I have wanted to do for a while, I've felt it has been missing! Looks very nice!
This looks awesome @vonBerg ! I've been looking for a user friendly script like this for a long time. Each one I have tried has fallen short in some aspect and kudos for the documentation. Def going to try this out.
