@explorer3d: I replied to you in your other thread. @Pussik: Sorry I don't think that's possible in Marmoset, maybe you can do it with the post effects? Another way would be to just render the foreground object and background sky separately and composite them in Photoshop. Then you can make the sky as bright as you want.
sorry to spam polycounters with my question but I thought this may be the right place to ask this heres xnormal I tried marmoset and only get a pink model until I load an environment shader and then it gives me these wierd smoothing groups/normals and my textures load as a mess of stripes. please could someone help me with…
the other way to handle multiple obj is by using ref mesh ( on render tab ) on my dw entry i load my char model. and then load my pedestal as ref mesh. thus i can assign different material on them. also i can hide/unhide it with ease. marmoset is way too kool.
This has probably been asked before and i thought I heard that if you update your graphics card or something it could fix the button issue in Marmoset where instead of trying to figure out where to click to get the right button you could click somewhat closer. Maybe I heard wrong....any ideas?
hey! I couldn't find an answer to this but.. Is it normal that even though Marmoset is minimized, It's eating up 50% of my cpu? If so, alrighty! If there is a fix I'd love to know. My Rig. AMD 64x2 5600+ 4 gigs of Ram Windows 7 64 bit 1000 gigs HD x2 Geforce 8800 GTS 512
Hi there! I am having a lot of trouble getting Marmoset to load! The 8Monkey Lab loading screen will open up but I will not be able to click on any of the buttons, there isnt any error messages it just simply will not do anything. I have installed both PhysX and OpenAL. I will be most grateful for any suggestions, many…
This is pretty subjective, but no i don't think metal items look flat, in fact metal is the easiest, best looking thing you can do in marmoset. I think you'll have issues taking content from one engine, designed specifically for that engine and ploping them into another with a totally different lighting system and…
Hello, I'm loving the new marmoset for my rendering needs. I've been having some problems on one of my latest projects though and had a few questions on how to fix them. Does the new marmoset(1.02) support opacity maps? If so how do you make them work? Can you make textures 2 sided? If so, how? Also I've been having a few…
EarthQuake, achmedthesnake: That's okay, really. I'm quite happy with what I have been doing lately anyways, showing construction shots in Max and 1 beauty render in Marmoset. I just wanted to know if it had these features. Achmedthesnake, I get what your saying about sort of hacking it to get these results though, very…
Yeah, I think you need to bring in your own ground. Just have your mesh and ground mesh as separate objects in your 3d app of choice. Select them both at the same time and export as a single OBJ file. Then you will end up with multiple "chunks" in Marmoset which you can apply separate materials to.
