gonna have to agree with squiggly, even diablo 3 is too colorful for my taste, and dangerously close to the WoW style/aesthetic, I'd go for darker realism if you want to stand out.
Well I've finished my model of Brad. His model is 600 tri's. The full scene including the 3 items came up to 840 tri's. Again, any feedback would be great.
I honestly cant say since texturing and modeling is one thing for me, and not a process I separate into two(when doing painted textures) My guess would 2-3 hours?
Don't worry man, your English is fine :3 Looks like a pretty cool head you got thur And don't be shy to post your stuff here, people are really helpful here!
Ok for the can thing.. try a clip shader with 3 triangles and the Rotation fixed to cam.. i think this wouldnt make zsorting issues.. this could work... maybe using a parralax shader to simulate the curv ;-)
Though I would just throw this up here as well as waywo! Its about 800 tris! http://s158.beta.photobucket.com/user/ddexter2/media/Hatch_zpscdc169b9.gif.html?sort=3&o=2
I like it, the gem makes a nice focal point. It looks a bit flat though, you'd probably want to add some sharp and shiny internal reflections and facets for a bit of visual interest :3
Haven't made anything 3d in a while, so yesterday I decided to get back into it a little bit, so I made these ammo crates from Quake 3 Arena. 28 tris each...
The fan method can look better for certain situations, but for best performance the "Max Area" method is best: http://www.humus.name/index.php?page=News&ID=228 max area # 3 great tank BTW
worked on 3 new characters: one of beeing a rebuild of the first little girl approach- this time with a cleaner UV and some fixed areas. The biggest guy is a guard and the texture was not done by me. Textures are still in progress
