kakikukeko: I think the curve of the back looks excellent from the images provided. Might have something to do with the curve of his chest compared to his back? as it looks fairly straight on the front view.. hard to tell though. What do I know though anyway :P Excellent work! My first normal mapped character/creature…
It really is beautiful work thomasp. Something off about her eyes has been nagging at me ever since I first saw her though. I just cant pinpoint what it is. Something to do with the outer corners perhaps, but it's hard to tell from so far away. Maybe the eyewhites are a tad too white too? Great stuff overall though!
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] A character from one of my favorite books. Hard to find reference of a malamute wearing a Prussian military outfit with prosthetic hands. Lots of work to be done. Major cool points to anyone that knows where this is from btw. [/ QUOTE ] 'Lives of the Monster Dogs' by any chance? [/ QUOTE ] Cool points…
TEEF! more fun maya scuplting. NO they arent 100% dental accurate, and a number of them are cloned (only 5 separate tooth models), but this is headed for a toon rendered production for a buddy of mine, and I doubt the audience will notice. EDIT: and what part of 1st or third person action-adventure shooter game was so hard…
You have to scratch it Suprore, a lot of small hard strokes in a high subD would lead to some good hair. You can also try to use a alpha with a lot of points so you dont have to do that much. But thats detailing, so make it in the end. Here is my new creature: I finally found the perspective button. Sculpted from Z spheres
Joakim, Hot! You're really pushing yourself in zbrush i'm loving it. Thats one nasty looking beast. I know the webpage isn't updated yet. I wanted to update it with some new content all at the same time but i seem to be having a hard time comming up with anything lately. How'd you start on this one? Zspheres or a cage from…
It's been a while without post my stuff here Pior normal map tutorial and that lastest _Shimmer normal maped head inspired me to do my own. Would like some hard critics as it's the first time i do one, and can't get the eyes looking right. The low poly it's 250 tris. Perhaps i'd do a heavier one later.
Ghostscape, RobG, Davision3D: Thanks for the feedback. I'm not so sure about the eyelashes, but I'll at least give them a try. I want to make her look a little more dynamic like my sketches, but it's so hard to catch the essence. Here's the lines if anyone wants to color it.…
arsh: It's hard to give any honest feedback on a self portrait when you've never seen that person, but hey, the quality of the model and diffuse texture is great methinks. Somehow I imagined you not having zombie eyes, but you know, people are never what you expect over the net. Kite: I love that guy! Totally odd and…
SupRore: Thanks for the paintover and yeap it's definitely overworked. It was partly because it was a speed model so I felt a bit more willing to get loose with my style and see where it would take me, but in the end I agree a lot of it is just visual clutter that doesn't serve to enhance the design. I really appreciate…
