Day 10, real ref day! I'll sculpt this lady today :] Started up at around 10:25pm! at 11:20, i took a two minutes break before putting down the final touches, and being done at 11:25, meaning this took exactly one hour. Phew! Here's the result :D Now, while I did get the facial features super close in front view (I…
The A6000 looks like a very nice camera, and the NEX6 that it replaces was a nice camera too. The thing with Sony E mount is, make sure they have the lenses you want now, and don't expect them to release them in the future if they don't. The E mount system is still lacking compared to M43rds, but it has a decent selection…
good point for sculpt centric builds/concentration. But considering most art creatives with such a 3D concentration have many other artistic visual interests? Even audio/music and design pursuits ( unless my bias is way off ) I imagine as much would be relevant for most? Particularly since Unreal seems to be full steam…
Your portfolio is the most important thing for getting a job. A degree can be icing on the cake, but if someone whose work is better than yours but doesn't have a degree applies for the position, they'll still probably get it. BUT - there is a lot to be learned at school. I mean, everything you need to know can be learned…
Wow, thanks for all the feedback everyone!!! I never expected to get such helpful and fast response to my post. I really appreciate it! I am still reworking the sculpt and have not made a ton of progress so I am not posting WIP shots of the model at this time but hopefully I will soon. @frell- yep I will try and pay closer…
Thanks :) ! Hi Quasar! :) Thanks for all of your input. The current legs are just blocked out! I won't be using those cylinders that you see for the actual plating and leg "formation" later. The newest addition which are the plates on the hips are not conformed to the legs, so I didn't bother removing the blocked out legs…
Gusti what you are talking is beyond what any retopology or digital sculpting app can do these days. Maybe within the next 5 to 10 years we could see such advancements where you don't have to deal with any technical aspects of the program but until then we as digital artist will have to deal with them. I remember 5 or 6…
@musashidanYou're absolutely right. So far, I've gathered that the units in which you create a modular asset pack are extremely important. However, I'm still not clear on what units are best to use. I'm currently making my pieces one meter by one meter. I am also aware that it is very important that you test your pieces…
wooo hoooooooo!!!! I finally made it....I have to admit this was extremely difficult towards the end (oh man and handpainting!! I've never handpainted in my life..so this was...hard..to say the least.), and wasn't able to push it as far as I had hoped, especially with all the awesome paintovers! This is pretty much the…
Nice feedback guys! Itzaspace + Huffer are correct. Before I left in a rush I was going to add the way I plan current and future projects. As i mentioned, I would love the opportunity to work with Bethesda Game Studios, preferably working on future Fallout/TES series games. Knowing that i've been non stop searching these…
