lighting, still using mayas viewport, press 7 then add a couple of directionals and a point light, to get a nice solution. try this http://www.3drender.com/light/3point.html with your point light as the key, and dont use white lights, maybe a yellowish key, greenish fill and blueish back -

It may also say something like you can't do other work for something in competition to the project at your job, so if you're working on an a WW2 FPS (for example), they may not mind if you freelance for a poker game, whereas they might be against work on another FPS and/or something in the same genre. -

@slipsius @_adamturnbull Nice work guys, really digging the jumps. I use a similar process for blocking action shots ( http://www.3dfiggins.com/writeups/fastAction/ ) where the character starts out as a cube or primitive representation. Good luck, looking forward to seeing how these turn out. -

I like it, its very well put together, The first car I ever modeled was one of these. Its on my portfolio in the props section. With mine could have looked as good as this but I had a severely small poly budget of only 10,000 tris to work with. www.3dTrench.com
