I want to thank everyone who purchased the stylized texture boot camp!! 19 of you have made the purchase... and I certainly hope it will level up your skills. if you are kind enough. leave a review at the video's home page https://vimeo.com/ondemand/texturebootcamp thanks again!! Metric
the 19" Yiynova reportedly has quite a bit more jitter than the low end cintiq´s. The 10" Yiynova aparently is much much better. Ray Frenden goes over these two size tablets in his blog.. http://frenden.com/yiynova-budget-cintiq-alternative/ The videos are a good watch.
Ye, but this thing has been out since october last year. They said (or hinted)that they would announce a new 3d headset on TGS which is between the 19-23 of september. It's possible it's going to be just as expensive and subpar but I think they'll probably try to match the Rift's price point($300).
I think there's an example on this page or the page before it showing how to do something like that: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56014&page=19 I'm at work right now, not all the images are loading. Anyway, you should probably scroll through the thread anyway. Really good stuff.
The polycount is abit high at the moment, the baking-version is not fully optimised, when Im done with all the tweaks im gonna pull it down as far as I can without loosing too much shape. Right now its 19 k, im gonna pull it down to 16k, I think.
Happy Friday!!!! Did a little work last night on the Korgan base block out as well as getting the story a bit tighter. But here is a screen shot from the block out :) For some reason I couldn't upload an image....to Twitter! Lol https://twitter.com/cglewis92/status/1162373407222222849?s=19
Thanks for the suggestions Tejay .. like you said using displacement from height map should help with getting more relief... tried that quickly on the metal plates below .. not ideal for this one as it give some incorrect highlights at the metal frame intersections but i get the idea .. :) Week 19 - Metal Plates
On the topic of the subforums I have to ask, are all the unused forums in Technical Talk really necessary? Example the idTech forum has zero posts, not sure when it was created, Source forum hasn't had a post since May and 19 of the 26 posts in the C4D forum are all from the same user.
Cool stuff so far! However on shot 19, the low angle kinda destroys the tension for me, something high angle would make the character seem more vulnerable in that moment. Perhaps a one point behind the char, with the enemy rising upwards, or the camera tilting to create some relative motion?
9:30 to 19:30-20:00 (get home time) would mean that you work until 19:00 or so? If that's it, that is a slightly long day from my experience, but not exactly a crunch. My average day is about 8:30 to 18:00 or so, give or take a little. I understand that you're in Europe and all where things might be different with work…
