Some renders (of an asset I textured for a Digital Tutors course) done in Substance Designer using Iray in the 3D view (internal build) : And another one done in TB2 in a manga/comic book style (same textures):
Nice work! That is definitely Satsuki. I think for presentation it works better for you if the borders on the comic strip image are not red. Its a strong color and it takes away from the main subject presented. The others are great though!
wow these sculpts really remind me of the darksiders style, looks great! also, is that concept from D3? looks very similar to the skeleton king on his throne. Loving the almost comical nature of the skull :) nice work.
Depends on how complex you want to go you can check facial reconstruction makers and how they are placed or just append zshpere and sculpt on top of everything Link : https://anthropology.si.edu/writteninbone/comic/activity/Facial_reconstructions.htm
Im using an intuos comic. Its pretty small and it has application specific settings, so I can specify different setups per program that I am working in. Its a pretty nifty tablet. Cheerio
@Biomag I can imagine it feeling odd at first, but will eventually get adjusted to. I'm sure there are other developers who started at a different industry, and then switch to games. Maybe comparing to someone who's been in comics, then in games.
Ror, you are too old and crocety for your age, don't dump that comic book know how it will come in handy someday. I didn't know that game related crap would come in handy but it did =P
She looks like Loki from the New Thor Comic series (He got stuck in a womans body for a while). might help to move the legs and thigh area together just a smidge. kudos on modeling with expression
Holeeey Moleyyy....I havent visited GA in a while but recently looked through their comic con character challenge. And yeah..woah. Theres some insanely talented guys posting there, and they got a tonne of entries to boot. crazy
Neither did TF2 invent comic shaders nor was it the first teambased FPS. Both the graphical style and the gameplay in TF2 are amazingly good, but they are not something new. Stuff like this has been done before and will be done in the future.
