True, but if you have like 500+ materials (not material instances) it could take a while. Of course it would be better to do it that way, but clamping the values in a postprocess is a quick and dirty way of fixing it. By the way, I've found that these artifacts happen mostly when using NormalmapUncompressed. -

That was what I did. I was able to work on my weak PC and finished the project yesterday by downsizing the Texture size to either 1k or 500. Every time I wanted to check the textures I had to switch back to 2K which took me some time. -

Reading wrong on an art test i did, i did read "max 500 triangles" while it actulay said "max 5000 triangles" noticed right after i did send it to them, truth to be told i never got an answer, surprisingly enough :P -

If Pixologic start charging for upgrades I don't think it will cost more than it's nearest competitor Mudbox (about $500 perpetual, $10/month rental). I think they'll still offer a free version and maybe have a bundle (two-way Modo bridge?) to sell. -

well in montreal, living isn't too expensive, you can have an apartment for 500-800$/month and with an average salary have 2-3k income. So it balances quite well. the hardest part is landing that 1st job, then, luck and hard work will help you keep it. -

COUNT_CRUSHMORE It can be hard at first to draw while always looking at the screen and not the pen. For some people it can take a while to get used to. For me it only took a couple of days. A simple wacom drawing tablet will always be better than those <500$ windows tablets with pens.
