Yep. I will only be able to Divide and add details and polypaint from this point on. Anything that changes the actual geometry or " silhoutte " wil just result in doom :D So it is pretty delicate process, that is why I don't work on it when I am tired or emotionally unstable. But if I can pull it off it will reduce overall…
Wow that's pretty technical :poly124: . Just did a quick measure up post 13 (W) 13 (D) 188(H) which is about right if i remember correctly. and the planks are about 25 (W) 3 (D) 190-180 (H). Planks are a bit wide I agree but it seems to look right in the editor. (I assume CryEngine works in Metric btw).
I don't know what alpha overdraw is... all I know is that performance is over 38 FPS in the Sandbox 2 editor with a 9800GTX; and performance is worse in the editor than it is in-game. On Very High settings, it stays steadily at 1.2 million tris and 25-30 FPS (still talking about in-editor). It definitely performs better…

11/25/2019 Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I posted any updates, The scene has undergone several transformations. I would like to know your feedback if you have any to share. I made some adjustments from the initial pitch (concept, tone) and decided to go for something different, while updating several models and…
speedtree is reasonable, if you create your own in it probably 1 tree in 25 is any good (realistic shape wise) the bark textures and their normal maps are pretty good... foliage is hit and miss, you'll end up making your own (as speedtree are not well matched so they can look odd and mismatched ie not from the same…
Ok, speaking about Edge Loops - I modeled a quick park bench and I am experimenting the BEVEL settings. This is before- This is a new setting for me, .25 This is my normal setting at .15 This is .45 This is a quick render at .5 If what I read in the beveling chart is correct, I have been too tight with my bevels at .15 so…
