Seriously digging your work after scanning through your sketchbook. Your inktober drawing were highlights, as was the KFC robot. Your 3D stuff looks really good too, the gargoyle statue stands out there. Keep up the good work, man!
I have rather annoying friends who play crappy facebook games who invite - gift and whatever the hell they can to me and it drives me nuts. I block every game request/status i see. For me its' a massive turnoff.
LordEsther, try googling modular modelling. That's just one mesh right? Alot of stuff in a church is usually repeating (except for statues). So try to repeat what you can. ex. Floors Walls windows Chairs Candlelights Rug Panels etc etc
you shouldnt need a voucher, with your veteran status. Just email them with company email address or so. Well I tried several years ago, when I discovered that luxinia was linked from in there, but didnt get into either to check what they wrote ;)
I dont work in the game industry but I can tell that a "Humanoid Statue" falls under character art, environment prop art category. That being said. If you require to elaborate it further, you can categorize it in terms of modeling, texturing and rendering as well.
I'm not 100% familiar with the locust and their statue, but if you want to get his anatomy spot on, take a look at this guys work: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83030 It's not perfect, but it shows the general area's of muscle building and tension. As for the environment, did you build it?
I think I may have asked this before but.....does anybody know a distributor of good anatomy casts/reference statues in the UK? I would like to buy one from Anatomytools but I bet I would get stung with the import tax.
I've always reordered deformations by going to Inputs of Selected Object -> All Inputs... (on the Status Line the icon looks like an arrow pointing inside a box) This will list the inputs on the mesh and you can middle mouse drag an input and rearrange its placement that way.
