I can sure confirm that freelance usually really doesn't really mean working less. It can sometimes be hard to stop working since there is no defined end to your work day (leaving work and getting back home!) and also sometimes hard not to overbook yourself with too many project when the chances arise. -

Why is there no contract in place? If you're getting screwed by fly-by-night indies, don't send them the finalized art test without written confirmation that they aren't going to use the art unless its paid for or you are taken on for a contract for additional work. The best protection you can get is them agreeing to terms… -

That sucks. I hate to see someone's named aired like that just to get a scoop, and especially when it's confirming a handful of games that anyone could have expected would be along sooner or later anyway. *edit* On the other hand, her site landing page is written in Comic Sans. For this, no punishment can be severe enough. -

I'm only a few hours in, but maybe someone can confirm: the character of 'Jack' on the prison or Purgatory is a total rip of the character from Pitch Black/Chronicles of Riddick? That was the first thing I thought of when I read the Illusive Man's dossier on her (Jack being a girl is pretty much a give away anyhow.) -

I am doing no such thing. Please recognize you may have a confirmation bias which you can use to overlook or excuse the current parties involved. Both parties can be demonized equally as they both stem from the same party and have followed the same over all path, though one is running a bit faster than the other. -
