Torekrafael: thanks :) its just over 3 gigs (had to start saving as a ztool as my zprs were refusing to open, stupid 2gig limit!) Final sculpt is around 120 million polys.
Actually the holes and cracks are geometry but the renders are in V-ray's GI and they may seem flat. If weren't they, I would really make it like 300 triangles or so. I will try to make better renders.
There should be an official Polycount steaming night. Where we all big in share progress maybe have a theme for the night. Imagine like 300 or 400 PC members all together making art.
Thanks everyone! I'm currently working on an MD workflow tutorial for these ships @sziada - Used Vray for the rendering @genwu - 32 gig Ram, 3.20 GHZ CPU, 64bit win7, GeForce GTX titan
Seforin wins IMO I like you 300% more now. Or maybe tokidokizenzen's kid and his friend, those are fukin awesome. PS. thanks johny, you've given me a floppy for life.
Have to agree on the skirt material thing. I like the traditional King Leonidas look. I'm glad it wasn't the 300 Leonidas cause that would've just been silly. Looking good. Keep it up. =]
The Secret Service is gonna have a ball. Among the usual President, VP, family, etc. They are responsible for protecting 'Major presidential and vice presidential candidates, and their spouses within 120 days of a general presidential election.'
Maybe some problems are caused by people using ATI cards, which have never properly supported Shader Model 3.0, and this is acknowledged on the ShaderFX site. Shader works fine for me, great job!
The 6600GT did very nearly as well as the 6800 and even did better in some parts of a FPS test using HL2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=14-130-220&depa=1
