IMO it's better to just get a pre made PC. Over 15 years or so I've built 3 of my own PCs. The first time I saved ~$1000, the second time I saved about $300, and the most recent one I spent about $40 more than I would have if I just bought it pre made.
Unity has an iphone basic license fee which is about $300. Any earnings over $100,000 then you have to pay for the pro license. I was under the impression that UDK is going to act in the same way as for the PC release, you can develop for nothing as an indy, release something but any earnings over a certain amount means…
Considering President Obama is continuing support for educational games and research into games that crowd source scientific problems. I'm sure the media that opposes his point of view will probably go nuts at some point. "I don't want no devil science in my house!" He tweeted from his phone while watching 300 channels on…
For the low low price of $99.99 you can have this state of the art Xbox 360® Wireless N Networking Adapter! I know what a steal huh? Only $99.99! WOW I bet you would gladly pay 200 or 300 for something like that, but no they're too kind. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessnnetadapter/
I'm currently using Torque Engine Advanced from GarageGames, and let me tell you I do not recommend them. 3D Studio looks like a better platform to use, along with TV3D and some others. Do your research first. Don't make the same mistake I did. I just jumped right in and wasted $300 dollars.
4gb isn't that much for the kind of stuff people do here, and that sounds like the problem you're specifically running in to. It won't make your stuff faster or more responsive, like an SSD will but it will solve those problem's you're having. With $300 I would get a 256gb Crucial M4 and 8gb of RAM. 16gb on DDR2 just isn't…
I'll be using head that was subdivided once as my low poly(10k polys). With the rest, I'll try to fit in around 30k, still gotta figure out how hair planes work. Substance for texturing and baking, marmoset for render. Thanks for the info about topology, I'll make necessary changes :) I followed Chung Kan'stutorial about…
excell sheets is all part of the deal. At first you may hate them. I grew to love the admin shit more than making the art for a while, so much less taxing on those days where you need 300 coffees to even see the screen. when I got into art director role, admin was all I did.
nice design but you are spending sooooo many tris/polys on those tubes underneath i would seriously think about reducing the crossection to 10edges and the loft to 16 (or sommit) i think youd save about 300-500 tris there with little difference, spend them on the propeller gaurd which isnt as round as the tube (even though…
In kind of the same vein as Gauss...I'm not really sure why they practically replicate the actors in 3d. I'd rather see real actors on tons of blue screen (Like 300) than full 3d versions of them striving for photorealism. Why not use their voices but get a little more funky with the character design? I'll see it…
