hi, here's a more rounded, 2 level demo with a mini-tutorial that has really been missing, ReadMe is still there but not necessary :) i really enjoyed the progress of creating something more ''event driven'' and less abstract as the last demo, and i hope the ''in your face'' tutorial proves at least helpful as it's not…
Hi erverybody ! I actually rig a character into maya for animate and export him to UE4. I search how can i create some "Squash and Stretch" in my rig (fore torse, arm and leg). I found this tutorial : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ip-5PD3aNIg But I know I can't use it for video game cause the engine don't import the…
If you're just starting out, I suggest pulling up this page: http://www.hourences.com/tutorials-ue3-modeling-1/ and reading through part 1 and part 2, and then keep this page bookmarked as more and more questions come up: http://www.hourences.com/tutorials/. It looks as if you're just beginning and that's great because…
Damian, I am a really big fan of you work. The creating foliage tutorial on 3DMotive has been an invaluable asset to me in learning environment art and has really helped me on my current piece. Not really to much to crit on your site, as all the work looks really polished. If you make another environment tutorial I would…
Looking at the texture I wouldn´t say it´s that much different from the tutorial. Sure, I agree with the comments above about adding highlights, etc, but right now you just need to set self-illumination to 100% to get the same flat colors as in the tutorial. You can´t really compare those two with these different settings.…
I was thinking of the post process chain in udk, where you can apply many different effects from changing the colors to bloom and motion blur. I did find two tutorials that can be useful. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNLvS2i_Ff4"]Post Process Chain Basics UDK Tutorial[/ame]…
For the Scott Spencer stinger head, I think you should make it a) your own texture b) better (if possible) than the one from the video/book. If you choose to keep it that is, personally I think you'll want to remove it because it's like the Eat3D pillar: people have seen it and know the tutorial, so it doesn't show much…
Finally had a chance to play this properly today, great game and i would have paid for this if they'd have charged. Medic is my favorite class so far, mainly healing parasited members that love to go rambo. Tried a bit of 'Insane' difficulty and needless to say it lives up to it's name. Looking forward to any custom maps…
Tonight I got carried away and ended up watching 40 out of 190 videos from "All UE4 tutorials" playlist from Unreal Engine youtube channel xD But now I'm back on focus and reading all the official documentation about Landscape,if you have any "outside" tutorials related to the subject please link it to me,I need to…
Procedural modeling and how to handle big scenes (like a procedural environment) would be great ! I have started learning Houdini a few months ago and would really like to see more tutorials geared toward the game industry. After seeing how Substance Designer 5 could revolutionize the procedural workflow of artists,i can…
