There are some pretty good tutorials here http://www.gfxartist.com/features/tutorials including some from Craig Mullins, Jason Manley, and Glen Fabry. Not neccesarily 100% photoshop related, but the knowledge is transferable I think. Software is just a tool anyway. James Ball
Also there is this... http://www.fileplanet.com/dl.aspx?/planetquake/polycount/tutorials/video/zbrush2_max7.zip The practical guide is what I used to learn it, but the above tutorial is all in real time with audio to guide you. I go over all the tools I use anyway.
That's a fun problem! I'd suggest adding C4D as the prefix to your thread title, which will draw in people familiar with this software. The tutorials in this thread might be useful for you. https://polycount.com/discussion/179105/digital-meat-cinema-4d-unity-playmaker-and-plugins-tutorials/p1
You'd think I'd learn that tutorials are generally incorrect. Unfortunately I followed a tutorial on how to unwrap in 3ds max and it said to use mesh selects and uvw map modifiers, when you could actually just do it all inside the unwrap uvw... facepalm.
Have you tried the Marmoset milk scene tutorial? The idea is to render a super high res image using both additive and dithered transparency, then scale down the image in Photoshop. I tried it and it works really well. Tutorial: http://www.marmoset.co/toolbag/learn/glass
Which software do you use? Here is a very basic tutorial for riggin in 3dsmax http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=bN8dvJoe4ew You can also check out Eat3D´s tutorial on rigging in Maya http://eat3d.com/facialrig Good luck!
I'm using Pluralsight at the moment for learning Maya and I'm finding it really useful so far. Also, to avoid the above aforementioned "tutorial syndrome" I would recommend doing your own project between tutorials to apply what you learn as you go. :)
hi kyle_butler, I did a quick Google search, you could try maya fluids. Here's some tutorials: http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/autodesk-maya/how-to-create-an-awesome-fire-effect-using-maya-fluids/ or https://vimeo.com/5672579 Hope that helps!
I would suggest doing a fresh new model with the skills you learnt from this grenade tutorial. Is this also your own model? As I know the tutorial artist supplies his own model, which is identical to this. Either way good stuff that your improving
Hi! Few days ago I finished my tutorial about flow feature for UDK. It explains all details about UDK materials and flow map creation with Houdini FX. Available here - http://forums.epicgames.com/threads/939815-TUTORIAL-Water-Flow-For-UDK
