It does seem to be a little complicated. The workflow that I've been using is this: 1. Model/UV in 3ds max 2. Export to .xsi using Softimage's dotXSI plugin 3. Import into XSI EXP for HL2. 4. You can try it, I've personally never done it but seen it recommended a few times... Seems a bit like using a sledge hammer when screw driver would do, but worth a shot. How would you model the grip on this handle?
