it looks great so far, nicew butt, the only thing that still bothers me a bit it s the size of her tibia and fibula, i think that if you shrink the femur just a wee bit and extend the tibia and fibula she will look more proportionate.
nice work snowfly--not only are the colors just that much more interesting, you did a good job of extending the image plane in the background. i'm also keen on seeing you develop that little dog looking character in the new one good stuff man.
a range mesh,- like ghosting the most extreme character animations and catched in a mesh-cage would help. Or some other reference to know to what extend the characters can bend. The wheels are already the close with the character - sometimes there is not really that much space to use for a design.
Well I think the walk still looks awkward. I'm no animator but it feels like it's somewhere inbetween "Hunched Walk" which the character just hunches and walk kind of normally. OR "Crouched walk" where the character never really extends his legs when walking.
@Klawd sorry for the delayed response - a few challenges back we decided as a community to extend each challenge to 2 months (up from the previous 1) to allow more time to complete scenes or work on multiple props. So yeah - you get another month! :)
Looks awesome reminds me of a place I used to live which was run down and we would draw on the walls like full crimson knights from the star wars Extended universe. that and it looks like wario is going all hitman style garroting peach.
exactly this... if 90% of materials can be expressed with the metallic map alone, it makes sense to use that for the majority of things. especially because in theory you don't even need a texture map for the extended range, you could plug a constant in instead if you are into the layered material workflow.
From the side it appears the neck goes too far in and thus the front of the face extends too far out. Find the head shape you need from reference and try to mimic that as much as possible, theres no shame going hardcore on the reference as long as you learn. :)
perhaps your shortcut is the problem? does 2016 have any changes in the file dialog and interprets it differently from older versions by any chance? anyway in case it turns out to be not all that reliable a combination, you could give the alternative product Filebox Extender a try.
Hey Guys. Sorry for the long delay. Just a little bit more patience. The store should be back up from early next month... I'll make sure to give out some free plugins, in favor of the extended wait period. Thanks for your patience!
