Hey, Thankyou for the comment! I am glad you liked the project! About the red nose, i tried to stay true to the concept that nico did! here is the concept I totally agree to your pointer about a fuzz map and fresnel! I was keen on doin that but I wanted to post this before we approached the holidays so I woulda missed the…
Sorry to post this again but I updated my trim sheet set and I am going to be doing a tutorial this week on the technique i used to make my scene. I doubled the trim details and such for the pack. https://gumroad.com/acms
Progress so far on the first of the trim sheets. I can really see the benefits of working in trims sheets so far, so much that i think i might just change my whole workflow and work this why from now one.
I think I know what you're trying to ask Scizz, so hopefully I can help answer your question. In regards to the CryEngine demo house you're seeing, I'm pretty sure they didn't bake out any of those textures you see there as they look photo sourced, nor are they uniquely unwrapped excluding the electric pole. It's just…
Hi guys! I wanted to practice zbrush, trim sheets, and modular kits so I combined it all into this Sci-Fi Hallway. The Mech Dog was sculpted in Zbrush while I modeled the trim sheet and modular kit in 3Ds Max and textured in Substance Painter. Any feedback for this scene would be appreciated! ul
" Same scene looks perfect in path tracing render probably but typical on-line rasterized render makes it look sort of dry and "uncanny" art style wise. I long tried to find what it resembles to me till randomly find a well known "rainbow" portrait of Elizabeth 1. Full of tiny details done with perfectly same attention in…
Very nice, might want to look into trim sheets that will help with your curved edges. Also fix your intersecting surfaces. http://www.gdcvault.com/play/1022324/The-Ultimate-Trim-Texturing-Techniques https://gumroad.com/acms http://www.thiagoklafke.com/office_tutorial.html
The new setup is a lot more satisfying for me, but yeah I'm still tweaking and discovering better setups. :) Tzur_H, All walls and columns share a tileable material. I have created a trim for wall edge damages and a trim for bottom dirts.
shouldn't have any problem trimming it down to a respectable polycount. for instance, there's no need for the trim on the arches to be modeled - texture that shit. you added a lot of shape detail to those panels on either side of the skull - in the miniature most of them are plane rectangles
Update 2 Sci fi Trim sheet (WIP Scene ) Main trim sheet for wall assets in my scene. Version one of this texture until I get a chance to play around with it in my scene and make changes as needed. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/v10a8A
