B or D are best. image from Best low poly circle topology The coins up top just look sloppy to me. They say "I don't give a fuck about topology". But topo does matter, in my book.
Im getting some weird errors when trying to bake my AO map in Xnormal, I've circled them in red. I've tried decreasing and increasing the ray distance with no effect. this error doesn't happen in max. Any ideas?
I once had a job that involved sitting on the floor in a circle with 4 other guys smashing semi-used power tools with a big hammer. The smashed power tools then got thrown in a skip. Great times. Life was simpler back then.
i'd second that. i would have used a lower gloss setting to widen the highlight, gotten rid of that seam on the back circle part, and added some color variation to the diffuse (color). i ment to mention it in your previous thread :\
Maybe some cool hanging light fixture above the circle on the floor, and some 3' tall detailed pieces along the edges of the walls where they meet the floor? Very cool so far tho, I love the door -N
Nice I dislike the circled area in yellow, to me it is out of place and distracting (Dark hair). Maybe if the base of everything started out as black it might not have bothered me as much. You can keep it if you like it just an outsider looking in perspective on it.
Yes send me the files as fbx and I'll have a look. Btw. you should learn to draw proper circles around the issue and not around everything. I took me a while too until I did understand what your're talking about..
I think I see what you mean about the polygroups; it now preserves them on the extracted mesh? Regarding the circle; open maintains the volume the new mesh when smoothing, closed will not (which probably has it act more like edge smooth).
My initial block-out in UDK.Overal i'm happy but still need alot of tweaking. Btw first when i saw the concept i was thinking that the circle thing is door but now i think is more like place where is stored artefact or something...
I agree with you, so i will weld this vertex on the front. but why he does a circle on the one ine the back and say that.. i dont know. If someone knows, says mee! :) ( and yes this vertex in the back is useful ) Thanks guy for the time spent for me.
