How much to charge for this sort of freelance work?
I'm doing some freelance work for some people and I was just wondering what sort of fees I should be charging. My last one had me doing the design for a ring, which I rendered in 3D. Batch Render Issue
So heres a video that explains my problem. When i Batch render about 60 frames in it looks like it stops and another copy keeps going. But When i do a single frame render it looks fine. Also in the video u can see i put a playblast in the corner so u can see a little more of whats going on. Any thoughts?… -

Yeah, I have noticed that my game drive which is my old 250GB SSD gets really slow when filled up and it does get filled up thanks to games being 60+ GB nowadays. I'm upgrading all of the storage drives and just sell the old ones to my friends. Should help a lot with performance and reduce the load on the cpu trying to… -

ok just to clear this up you're wrong / highly optimistic here's some numbers at runtime... a 4k texture set will use 60-80mb a 8k texture set will use 240-320 mb a 16k texture set will use 960-1280mb Since the new fanciest xbox only has about 11gb of GPU memory you're not getting 16k maps in your console games this… -

Thanks, I'm thinking about adding a sine deformed extra blend on the floors,to simulate just what you propose, an extra sharp division between mountains an floors.. But the ground shader is already sucking down most perfomance, and I might sacrifice any further complexity there to keep the game rolling at 60 fps on…
