Ok, how about this. This is what I'm thinking of doing. 3Ds Max ($500 Leased)+MODO+Mudbox(2)+Photoshop or I could replace Photoshop with SAI, and combine that with using GIMP but I don't know if that would be better or just as good as using photoshop....
I already picked up a 500 gb drive to try to boot XP. I also have another back up USB drive and I just bought 50 DVDR's for another form of backup. My next form of backup is a laptop:). B
IMO for it to sell well it'll need to be animated with the branch part of that animation. The camera is fairly heavy and that branch should wobble with each jerk of rotation from the camera. Consider the current movement a "proof-of-concept" created with Kismet. EDIT: 500 replies, holy shit.
I can see this being a huge hit in the UK over apple products as the have chosen to rack up the costs up to $500, which they cliam is due to the Brexit. What a crock of crap. Nice move MS it looks like a great product.
I'm an anti-armrest guy as well but I couldn't imagine sitting on a cheap chair, you must have buns of steel! I purchased a $500 fancy office chair about 5-6 years ago and it's survived about 5 moves.
We are not planning on extending the deadline for now. As WarrenM said, the contest is already pretty lengthy and with more than 500 contestants, we can't reasonably extend until everyone is done. Try to get as much as possible done this week and next week end!
Have you tried using a simpler model to get started with, and gradually increasing detail? Instead of beginning with "+4 sub div" and "million on mudbox" begin with about 500 polygons and post the results of that, fix it, and only after a few iterations start subdividing.
I like sculptris :) the performance is pretty good for me, this head is about 500 000 triangles pulled straight out the default sphere and doesnt feel slow at all, just been using this piece to try all the features and Im quite impressed.
on the scenecapturecubemap properties take the far plane to a bigger amount. its 500 by default i usually just set it to 1000000000000000000000000 (and it will correct for the highest number it will process). though if you want to be extremely accurate you ca go by putting in the measurements n whatnot.
I have 2 of the Logitech MX Revolutions. Best mouse I have ever used. I had one at work and picked up another for at home. I used to use the 510 and 518 from logitech but this one blows those away.
