They most likely have a top end i7, such as 2600/2700k or 3770k, and a high end graphics card like GTX 680. They are doing this for their living, so obviously they have the proper tools to do their work.

Quadro 3700. Have tried latest drivers and also Autodesk certified ones. Sometimes in the same scene I can have some Mia materials with textures displaying fine and other Mia materials also with textures displaying pitch black. So I assume others don't have this issue?
